The incidents began with a young boy running onto the field to take a selfie with the Portugal captain.
Fifteen minutes later, another supporter attempted the same, though Ronaldo ignored them.
Two more Ronaldo fans rushed onto the field before the match concluded.
The fifth fan approached CR7 after the match had ended.
The abundance of pitch invaders immediately raised concerns for Portugal’s coach, Roberto Martinez.

On the other hand, he acknowledged that it’s natural for fans to want to meet their idols, but player safety is paramount.
“It’s a concern because today we were lucky with the fans’ intentions being good,” Martinez said.
“I think we all appreciate fans who recognize big stars and icons, but you can understand there are moments that are very, very difficult if intentions go awry,” he added.
Cristiano Ronaldo faces the possibility of encountering unwelcome guests again in his final group stage match.
In the upcoming match, Ronaldo will lead Portugal against Georgia at Veltins-Arena on Wednesday (26/6/2024) local time or Thursday at 02:00 WIB.
